Supplementary examinations were stuck while waiting for a new amended order
Now, a list will be compiled of students who failed in two subjects.
Eligibility for supplementary exams in two subjects in colleges has been available since this current session, thanks to the Chhattisgarh Government Higher Education Department. Due to this change, there has been a significant delay in this year's supplementary exams. However, a new order has now been issued.
It's worth noting that previously, students could only obtain supplementary eligibility for one subject in college exams, resulting in a large number of students failing due to poor exam results. Most of these students failed in only two subjects. Following a government decision and approval from the Governor, supplementary eligibility for two subjects is now granted from this session onwards. Results are currently under review, and efforts are being made to provide supplementary eligibility to students who failed in two subjects.
Despite nearly half of the session having passed, the date for supplementary exams has not yet been determined, which is affecting the studies of students preparing for these exams and causing admission-related problems.
A notification has been issued by the University regarding the proposed amendment for supplementary eligibility in two subjects. The Chancellor has approved this amendment, and candidates who failed in a maximum of two subjects during the main annual examination for the academic session 2022-23 in March-April 2023 will be granted supplementary eligibility.
The results of revaluation and recounting examinations for most undergraduate courses have recently been announced by the University. Students who failed in two subjects will also be eligible for supplementary exams, and their results will be declared accordingly.
The application process for supplementary exams begins today. Shaheed Mahendra Karma University will hold online applications for the supplementary exams for undergraduate level courses conducted in the academic session 2022-23 in March-April 2023. Candidates eligible for these exams can apply online from 5th October to 11th October, along with uploading scanned copies of the required documents. The hard copy of the online exam application will be verified by the respective college and submitted from 5th to 12th October.
Alongside the hard copy of the online application, colleges will submit the verified list of eligible candidates, along with necessary documents and certificates, to the university from 13th to 16th October. After granting eligibility for two subjects, new results will be prepared, and a list of failed students eligible for supplementary exams will be released.
